ade time tue when specialist suruh my dad & family sit down anak beranak discuss in choosing the best treatment plan for my mum…this was done without my mum’s knowledge at 1st…dok suh discuss dgn anak2 dulue…then bru break the news to my mum… owh mmg sedih giler mase tue…I everytime call my mum mmg tak boley tahan nak nangis!

Mmg sumpah this is the 1st time I buat rendang pedas FROM SCRATCH!!!

Slalu tadah pinggan je my mum yg masak…hehehhe…n ofcourse rendang pedas my mum the best ever redang pedas in the whole wide world!!!
So anyways, since last raya haji my dad dah tak kasi my mum cooking, so ade la terasa bertanggungjawab untuk memasak rendang…bru nak sedar diri!
Kalau tak memanjang bawak perut je balik rumah my mum…hehehhe
In addition ade la jugak perasaan nak kasi mak mertua merasa rendang pedas “asli” air tangan menantu nye sorang nie…hahahhaha…dulue2 pernah la buat tapi semua nye rendang packet! hahahhaha
N when I said “asli”, it means from scratch!!!
Seriously semua bahan buat from scratch…so mmg I cannot categorize it under the usuallllllllllll…………………………………….

WHAT U NEED?
500gm chicken potong ikut suka hati hehehe(boley substitute with daging jugak…so kalau guna daging, kene potong cube2, lawan urat)
500gm santan (preferably santan fresh…Guna santan kotak pon boley, tp kate td nak resipi “asli” kannnn)
15 ulas bawang merah – hiris halus2
3 batang serai – mayang halus2
3 helai daun kunyit – mayang halus2
2inchi halia – hiris halus2
1inchi kunyit hidup – hiris halus2
1cawan cili boh (ikut tahap kepedasan u nak…cili boh preferably yg buat sendiri…Nt I cite kat bawah camne nak buat)

HOW TO?
1. 1st thing 1st kene prepare kan cili boh…u can always use the ready made chili boh jual kat supermarket tue, tp rasa dia kureng skets la…if nak buat sendiri, potong2 cili kering dlm 2 genggam and rebus until it soften…then toss kan cili kering tue n blend it all with ¾ of water…heat up 5 tablespoon of oil…bila minyak dah panas then tumis cili boh mixture tue sampai naik minyak…then tutup api, set it aside
2. One of the hazabun part nk buat rendang nie is where u have to hiris and mayang bawang merah, serai, daun kunyit, halia and kunyit tue veryyyyyy thinly!!! Mmg pengsan ok! Part potong2 je pon dah take up 1.5hrs!!! n never in my life before this masuk dapur luka2 bagai…I ended up terhiris the tip of my fingers yo!!! Darah berjurai2! Ahhahahaha all just becoz ngantok nk mati potong2 bawang sume…tak pasal2 sape yg makan rendang I haritu jadi raja bersiongggggggggggg! Hehehe…so yeah, hiris mayang bahan2 tue halus2 ye…
3. Masuk all bahan2 yg di hiris and mayang tadi (except kunyit hidup) dlm kuali together with cili boh…tuang santan and masuk kan ayam…basuh tangan and gaul mix all of them together…kire bagi “mesra” gitu
4. Dah mesra baru pasang api…make it on medium heat…gaul gaul gaul…then masuk kan kunyit hidup…season with salt & sugar…and gaul lagi and lagi and lagi and tungguuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu la sampai rendang pedas tue kering!!! Which takes about 3hours!!! *thanx to ipad peneman ladyverde mase tgh tunggu rendang kering*…

peringatan – SILA JGN TIDO inbetween stir coz ade possibility terlalai sampai tetibe ade bau hangit dari kitchen! Muahahhahahahhahahha hancurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rendang yo! Dinasihatkan betunggu tangga depan kuali ape cara sekalipon…hehehhe

Yes mmg tiring part preparation and waiting for the rendang to dry up…
But its alllllllllllllllllllllllllll WORTH IT!!!

Bile bagi my mum rasa, her verdict ----> “RASA SAMA MACAM MAK PUNYA………tp masin sket!”
Muahahahhahahahhahaha…ngantok yo sampai 4pagi masak rendang tue yg terceduk garam lebih tue…muahahhahaha
Ape2 pon puas hati rasa dah ade…dah sama mcm my mum’s…Sedap tak terkire…
Sakit jari terhiris pon tak terasa…trus baik trus…hehehhee

Love it bile dapat inherit and documented another signature dish my mum…dulu slalu tolong2 sipi je…now buat all from scratch alone n worth it rasa bile suami sendiri suka gilerrrrrrrrrrr sampai “jangan bagi semua tau…simpan kan lebih skets untuk rumah kite”

huuu selama ni i pembaca senyapp jek sbb neves nak drop komen. huhuhu. tp kann tp kannnnn bila tgk la resepi ni... rasa mcm hamboi. senangnyeee cuma itulah. masak rendang mmg time consuming. cuma masak rendang ni kita boleh buat 2 kerja satu masa kan. nak tunggu bapak berzaman.
thehehe... saye sukee ini resepi kak. very much. saye tergerak nak drop gak komen sbb atas persetujuan yg amat sangat bila hubby kita ckp camtu lepas makan masakan kita kita..
rasa mcm... adoih. di awang-awangannnn gitu. walopon masa mula2 citer akak psl mak akak tu sedih. huhu...
aaaaaa... i dah la puasa harini... i love rendang ayam pedas with lots of daun kunyit.. nom nom nom..

waah..slalunya..kite tkang siang brg2 jer..then memasak mak la jaga..then die suruh kita jaga api..sambil kacau daging..skrg tk ded buat..sbb anak kacau daun..btw tahniah!
